Admission at SCAD

School visits

Visit public, private, and boarding schools throughout your territory. Introduce students to SCAD's academic programs, career opportunities, and admission process through classroom presentations, portfolio reviews, and individual conversations.

Regional information sessions

Lead exclusive SCAD events that bring the university directly to prospective students and families. Partner with faculty members and academic leaders who travel to your territory to share program insights, portfolio guidance, and firsthand perspectives on the student experience.

These events offer a unique opportunity to showcase the depth of SCAD's academic community while helping students make informed decisions about their future.

College fairs and conferences

Represent SCAD at regional and national events. Expand the university's visibility, connect with prospective students, and strengthen relationships with educators and counselors.

Campus visits

Meet students and families who visit SCAD's campuses. Provide guidance, answer questions, and help prospective students envision their future at SCAD.

Admission professionals work closely with counselors, teachers, independent educational consultants, and community partners throughout the year.

You will also collaborate with SCAD's dedicated Educator Outreach team, invite educators to signature university events, and strengthen relationships that help students discover opportunities at SCAD.

Life on the road

Assistant Directors of Admission travel approximately 40–45 weeks each year throughout their assigned territory.

SCAD invests heavily in the tools and resources necessary for success on the road.

Travel support includes: 

  • Dedicated recruitment logistics support
  • University-issued cell phone with hotspot
  • SCAD corporate credit card
  • Travel per diem
  • Airline, hotel, and rental car rewards programs
  • Recruitment materials and presentation resources
  • Salesforce support and training

This structure allows admission professionals to focus on students and relationships rather than travel logistics.
