Chef de Cuisine 

The chef de cuisine will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining systems for culinary staff and for their supervision and training. The chef must manage a budget while evaluating employee performance. Other duties of this position include managing food orders and inventory along with creating menus, recipes, and daily specials.

Distribution and Receiving Specialist I

The distribution and receiving specialist will receive and process shipments/daily deliveries during the weekdays and occasionally Saturdays. Responsibilities include the pickup, sorting, and delivery of USPS mail and the supervision of work study students. The ideal candidate will be able to drive a forklift and pallet jack and can drive a van.

Auxiliary Technology Specialist I

As the customer service representative, you will post charges and payments for Banner and Touchnet in a timely manner and process cardholder accounts and meal plan management in Atrium. You will be expected to produce ID cards, participate in student orientation, process parking decal requests in TiceTrak, and process reports for activity readers for campus events.

Lock Technician I

As the lock technician, you will be trained to identify standard keyways at SCAD, cut and duplicate keys with minimal waste, select the appropriate key blank, and operate machines properly. This job includes the ability to read and understand re-keying math, pinning/repining a cylinder, replacing existing door hardware with matching hardware, and servicing hardware.

Maintenance Technician III

As the maintenance technician, you will perform various maintenance and repair work such as plumbing, electrical issues, HVAC troubleshooting, furniture repair, and more independently as instructed or assisted by other personnel. The technician will assess that items are in working order and will complete any necessary repairs.

Housekeeper

As a full-time housekeeper, you will be responsible for providing the highest standard of clean and healthy environments, including executive offices and households, as well as guest quarters. You will also maintain and clean employee uniforms as well as SCAD equipment and linen for events.

Groom

SCAD seeks an in-person groom to be responsible for the care, feeding, grooming, and cleaning of horses for the Ronald C. Waranch Equestrian Center, located in Hardeeville, SC. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and cleaning of horse stalls and equipment used with the horses and for keeping the stable area neat and clean.

Department Administrative Assistant

As the departmental administrative assistant, you will support the academic department within assigned schools on department academic projects and university initiatives and collaborate with the academic operations managers to help their academic departments meet requirements and deadlines.

Drywall Technician

As a drywall technician, you will apply drywall to walls or ceilings, prepare panels for painting, and smooth out imperfections. You will read blueprints and designs; use a lift to place ceiling panels; and measure, cut, fit, and fasten panels, among other duties.

As the superintendent, you are responsible for daily scheduling, supervising all activities and tasks, and ensuring the safety and visual compliance of the campus and successful completion of work. In this position, you will ensure that subcontractors are fully executing and complying with the scope of work.

Support Crew Member

The support crew member will be responsible for lifting, moving, and assembling furniture and fixtures as well as the loading, unloading, and transport of furniture or other large items. To successfully fulfill this position, you must be able to read work orders, layouts, and event setups while listening to instructions. Checking and recording inventory is required.

Shop Technician

As a shop technician, you will maintain the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of the shop equipment and facilities, proactively identifying problems and developing solutions to improve shop efficiency. Reporting to the shop manager with up-to-date inventories and safety or equipment concerns, you will demonstrate safe machine operation to students, assist faculty with class demonstrations, oversee the thorough and timely completion of daily assignments, and assist in enforcing proper use of WebCheckout for shop tools and equipment.
