As a temporary admission summer assistant, you will assist with the coordination and execution of pre-college programs for SCAD Savannah, primarily by communicating with program participants and their parents. All responsibilities center on nurturing a safe experience for all program participants, most of whom are minors, and ensuring that all attendees are following the program’s outlined rules and guidelines.

In this role, you will be responsible for setting behavioral expectations for program participants, conducting initial behavioral concern conversations with participants before including relevant departments. As the initial point of contact for program participants experiencing crisis, you will coordinate with personnel across university departments to care for student needs. After the program, you will serve a key role in retaining pre-college assistants by providing exceptional guidance and feedback during programming in order to build long-lasting relationships.

Minimum qualifications:  

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced customer relations skills
  • Available for evening and weekend work as needed

Preferred qualifications:

  • One year of related experience

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:

  • Valid driver’s license

Travel required:

  • None

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
