As an assistant director of admission for visitation, you will oversee all responsibilities related to supervising student employees involved in admission. You will lead all tour activities, including interviewing prospective student leaders, training, scheduling, and evaluating the goals of the student employment program and departmental requirements. In collaboration with the director of admission, you will create unique experiences for prospective students and guests who engage with current student staff. You will also collaborate with your counterpart in Savannah to manage content and format university resources, communications, and tour information. Among other duties, you will handle and print web promotions to maintain consistency, analyze reports on student initiatives, and ensure that all daily activities are properly documented.

In this role, you will ensure that all event and program wrap-ups, as well as monthly and annual reports, are completed promptly and accurately. In collaboration with the director of student involvement, you will work with various departments to support and promote on-campus events to prospective students. You will also work closely with enrollment managers for events and programs at all SCAD locations to ensure consistency in tours and recruitment efforts, providing ongoing training to staff. Responsibilities include assisting with college tours, admission counseling, portfolio reviews, interviews, and LiveAgent shift coverage. Similarly, you will oversee group and VIP tours.

In this position, you will ensure all your leaders follow SCAD policies and deliver the highest possible level of customer service and personalized experiences. You will also participate in special events, including evenings and weekends, and travel as needed to support initiatives. In partnership with admission representatives, you will provide support and student staffing for various events. Additional duties may be assigned at any time.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills. They can work independently and efficiently.

Minimum qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience managing students or entry-level staff
  • Experience with logistics, staffing, and coordination of schedules or events
  • Microsoft Office experience

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Admission and tour experience
  • Marketing experience
  • Public speaking experience

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:

  • Valid driver’s license

Travel required:

  • Less than 10%

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
