As an admissions assistant, you will answer telephone calls for the university's central line and greet all visitors, directing them to the appropriate staff. You will provide outstanding customer service to all students, staff, faculty, and visitors via phone, email, and in person. You will promptly manage the admissions email account, forward emails to the relevant staff members within 24 hours of receipt, and maintain minimal email volume during the recruitment cycle. Additionally, you will collaborate daily to mail all outgoing acceptance and scholarship letters and deposit paid packets. You will also work with admission leaders to manage the supply inventory for mailings.

In this role, you will help teams review and sort incoming mail to redirect it as necessary, process return mail upon its arrival from the distribution center, and report incorrect address information in the CRM database for accurate record-keeping. You will index all acceptance and scholarship letters generated by the mail and coding team, provide additional administrative support for special initiatives, and track all incoming phone data, outgoing mailings, indexed mail, returned mail, and trends. As requested, you will participate in SCAD Days and special events and work on evenings and weekends. You will perform other duties as assigned to ensure the department's success and further SCAD’s mission.

The successful candidate will possess exemplary communication, customer service, and organizational skills. The candidate will exhibit extensive admissions and institutional knowledge to effectively assess and respond to general information inquiries about SCAD’s various departments, and this knowledge must be kept current.

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Computer skills

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Associates degree

Travel required:

  • Less than 10%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
