As a business reporting analyst, you will provide intermediate design, development, testing, and analysis of end-user reporting needs. You will manage ad hoc requests and assist high-level users with understanding, developing, and troubleshooting their needs. You will also manage documentation of assigned reporting requests per the defined documentation standard. Additionally, you will implement software upgrades, communicate with and work with technical staff to support a broad user base, and work on an accelerated project timeline assigned by senior technical staff.

The successful candidate will display problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. They will be capable of using computers and software to store, retrieve, and produce reports compiled with organized data. They will also work well independently and collaboratively on several projects, catering to various customers.

Minimum Qualifications:      

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business administration with concentration in management information systems or a related field
  • At least three years of experience providing application system development
  • Knowledge of Oracle Developer 2000, Cognos, MS Access, UNIX, Windows, and SQL
  • Knowledge of computer programming techniques, system design principles, and concepts of database programming

Preferred Qualifications:      

  • Experience with Cognos 8, Powerplay, Ellucian Banner, and Pro*C

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:  

  • Valid driver’s license    

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
