As an assistant director of admission, you will travel extensively to strategically identified areas, representing SCAD to prospective students and fostering ongoing professional and institutional relationships. Travel will be coordinated with your regional director and teammates to include participation in school-specific initiatives, information sessions, college fairs, conferences, and other recruitment events. At such events, you will represent SCAD with the highest degree of professional conduct in compliance with NACAC guidelines and deliver creative, engaging classroom presentations. You will hold scheduled one-on-one appointments with prospective students to provide information on the application process and portfolio counseling and meet with students visiting the Savannah location.

In this role, you will follow up with prospective students using various methods to discuss their interests and questions about university opportunities to ensure they are the right fit for SCAD. Responsibilities include accurate record management, Salesforce data and travel management entry in compliance with FERPA, and oversight of educator contact information. You will assist with calls from admitted students and those who have paid deposits, monitor regular application and enrollment reports to assess the effectiveness of initiatives, and use assessments for future planning. Additionally, you will promptly enter planned, confirmed, and completed events into Salesforce to ensure they appear on the master recruitment calendar. You will also invite educators to attend SCAD Educator Forum, where you will serve as a host.

In this position, you will leverage alumni and parent ambassadors, along with SCAD’s alumni services, to support university recruitment efforts, attend award ceremonies to announce scholarship winners, and assist with on-campus activities (e.g., lead tours, staff programs, cover LivePerson shifts, and participate in trainings). Responsibilities include maintenance of a travel calendar through Outlook, mentorship of new staff members, and participation in special events during evenings and weekends. Among other duties, you will stay informed about university policies, events, awards, and programs to provide accurate information; share relevant updates with staff; and build strong partnerships with admission advisers to involve them in recruitment activities. You will also provide regular feedback to leadership.

The ideal candidate will aim to increase positive awareness of SCAD to support and facilitate successful college search processes for students. Additionally, you will demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills to engage diverse audiences.
