As an assistant director of enrollment, you will be the first staff member that many applicants encounter on their SCAD journey. Therefore, you will be expected to embody the SCAD mission, vision, and values as a representative of the SCAD brand. You will play a vital role in fostering relationships through personalized admission assistance to students, parents, and educators. You will receive and meticulously process all documents required for admission and scholarship evaluation. You will follow up with students to gather the necessary information that supports their completed applications and provide them with key insights when considering enrollment. You will also serve as the primary financial aid contact for assigned students and their families, working to thoroughly explain the federal aid process (e.g., FAFSA, Parent PLUS Loan, etc.) and the cost of attendance. Additionally, you will assist students with the FAFSA verification process, establish a financial plan, and ensure they are aware of any outstanding account balances.

In this role, you will proficiently operate the management systems (Salesforce and Banner) to record and track documents, contacts, and other pertinent information in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) guidelines; you will maintain data integrity for accurate records. You will be well-versed in educational systems and trends within your assigned territory. Additionally, you will stay informed about all university policies and procedures to convey correct information about SCAD, including, but not limited to, programs of study, SCAD locations, scholarships, housing, meal plans, and class registration. You will collaborate closely with internal departments to strategize and complete events that support SCAD's outreach and recruitment initiatives. You may occasionally travel to your assigned region to lead such opportunities. 

The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional communication, public speaking, and customer service skills. The candidate is attentive to detail and exhibits a strategic ability to achieve goals. They can multitask, organize, and perform well under pressure while quickly shifting focus. Additionally, they have knowledge of the web.

Minimum Qualifications:      

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to work some nights and weekends

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:  

  • Valid driver's license

Travel Required:  

  • 20–40%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
