As a photographer, you will review all details for each shoot in the job tracking system and department calendar. You will receive assignments from the director and communicate with them or the producer to discuss assignment specifics, ask questions, and assist with any pre-production needs. Among other duties, you will photograph daily assignments, which may include academics, students, faculty, portraits, athletics, exhibitions, and more. This responsibility includes set organization and breakdowns, as well as lighting adjustments. Additionally, you will perform basic processing and retouching on images, such as color correction, cropping, straightening, skin retouching, clothes retouching, item removal, and more. You will also ensure files are correctly named and metadata is included.

In this position, you will promptly upload all completed jobs to the server for the director to review, inform them of equipment needs, and collaborate with them to prioritize tasks. Working closely with the director, you will also manage all urgent social media and press release photography needs from events and exhibitions. Additionally, you will meet with the visual media team to discuss upcoming and completed shoots. Responsibilities include assisting with the conception, production, and photography of catalog covers, advertisements, and posters for key university projects in collaboration with the creative director, associate creative director, senior digital artist, producer, and others.

In this role, you will inspect office photography equipment, assess its condition, and notify the director of any issues that arise during use. You will also provide suggestions to enhance the photography staff and improve the use of images in SCAD publications and projects.
