As a housing operations technical analyst, you will contribute to a positive university environment through data analysis, operational review, and the creation of workflows that streamline policy enforcement processes. You will deliver exceptional customer service to students, families, university and community partners, and vendors throughout the housing process. Responsibilities include student user data management (e.g., student profiles, roommate preferences, disability accommodations, emotional support animals, and gender identity preferences) via StarRez and the enforcement of all aspects of the Housing License Agreement. Occasionally, you will serve as a liaison between residential students and physical resources. When acting as a liaison, you will submit building work orders and follow up with key stakeholders.

In this role, you will handle room selections, assignments, change requests, and cancellations for all Savannah residents. This includes the management of workflow and database updates, communication with university partners, and generation of assignment letters. You will also assist and train staff on department operations and collaborate with the director of housing operations and the IT department to identify opportunities, implement improvements, and innovate residence life, housing processes, and software applications.

The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent customer service and user experience skills. They are also able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in IT, university housing and residence life, or student affairs.

Minimum qualifications:      

  • Bachelor’s degree 

Preferred qualifications:      

  • Systems thinking and data analytics background
  • StarRez and data analytics experience

Travel required:  

  • 10–20%

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
