As an accreditation manager, you will support the workflow and adherence to timelines related to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) institutional accreditation. You will also help the achievement of programming accreditation from the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) and Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA). You will research, edit, and co-author accreditation documents and reports. You will directly follow up on action items related to SACSCOC compliance, including substantive changes. You will coordinate and collect evidence through document management, storage, and naming conventions and inform faculty and staff of accreditation event preparation and procedures. You will also assist in the preparation of all accreditation reviews and develop risk analyses for accreditation compliance or other appropriate analyses as assigned.

The successful candidate will have a high tolerance for ambiguity and be able to travel to represent the university. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, particularly in writing and analysis, to communicate with diverse audiences. They should also have strong interpersonal, time management, organizational/planning, and multitasking skills.  

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • At least three years’ experience working in higher education and taking an active role in an institution’s reaffirmation for institutional or programmatic accreditation
  • A background in social science research methods and art and design
  • Ability to travel to represent the university

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree 
  • Experience with SACSCOC, NAAB, or CIDA
  • Familiarity with accreditation software and websites

Travel required:

  • 10–20%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
