      As an administrative assistant for the student success and advising department, you will answer all incoming calls and route them to the most appropriate staff member to address the caller’s needs. You will manage the general advisement email inbox and assist with physical mail and mass email campaigns. You will also process all supply requests in collaboration with the building's designated supply person and ensure that adequate supplies for all departmental publications are available. Among other duties, you will generate COGNOS reports, coordinate material printing, and assist with creating orientation packets for incoming students. As needed, you will also assist with data entry.

      In this position, you will assist advisers with program preparation for school or student meetings and group advising. This includes securing materials and event locations. You will also schedule appointments and refer to other offices. Additionally, you will support front desk coverage for Bradley Hall in collaboration with other building support staff.

      The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills. They also demonstrate exemplary collaboration skills and the ability to meet deadlines. The candidate works well both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. They are honest and display professional discipline and integrity.

      Minimum qualifications:      

      • Bachelor's degree

      Preferred qualifications:      

      • At least one year of experience in an academic environment
      • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Banner or similar software

      Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
