As an administrative assistant, you will manage office operations and all supply orders for the International Student Services Office (ISSO) and the SCAD Language Studio (SLS). You will answer phones, monitor the ISSO email, and assist with communication such as reports, fact books, email templates, and more. You will serve as a greeter, welcoming students into Norris Hall and directing them as needed. You will also coordinate adviser appointments, distribute incoming mail, and manage the Norris Hall event space booking. Among other duties, you will support ISSO and SLS programming.

The successful candidate will demonstrate exemplary interpersonal communication, organization, and project management skills to work on multiple assignments simultaneously. The candidate will be committed to honesty, discipline, integrity, and confidentiality. The candidate should also have an excellent eye for detail and accuracy. They should be able to thrive as both an individual and team-based contributor. The ability to be punctual, professional, and responsive is necessary to succeed in this position.

Minimum Qualifications:      

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
  • At least one year of relevant professional experience in an academic environment
  • Proficiency with relevant computer programs, including Microsoft Office 365
  • Familiarity with Banner or a similar database

Preferred Qualifications:      

  • Knowledge of F1 visa student regulations and Terra Dotta Software

Travel Required:  

  • Less than 10% 

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
