As an administrative assistant, you will support the communication aspects of ISSO and SCAD Language Studio (e.g., answer phones and manage inbox, greet and welcome visitors to Norris Hall; assist with fact books, reports, and emails), as well as help prepare for major events like orientation, CAPP, and other cultural programs. You will schedule and coordinate adviser appointments and manage office supplies and orders, building repair requests, and the booking of the Norris Hall event space, among other duties.

The successful candidate demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills while exhibiting a commitment to honesty, discipline, integrity, and confidentiality. An eye for detail and accuracy is essential, and the candidate should possess advanced project- and people-management abilities. Always punctual and professional, the candidate is highly organized and responsive and can manage multiple priorities with ease. The ability to thrive as both an individual and team-based contributor is also a must.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
  • One to three years of relevant professional experience in an academic environment
  • Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office 365 (Word and Excel), and Banner or a similar database

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of F1 visa student regulations
  • Experience with Terra Dotta Software

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
