As the administrative assistant, you will handle various departmental tasks and projects, including running reports and compiling data. Responsibilities include operational and administrative duties within the department, as well as building and handling all matters with accuracy and confidentiality according to deadlines. In this position, you will process all supply requests with the designated supply person for the building to ensure that adequate supplies of all departmental publications are available in the office, enter data as needed, generate COGNOS reports, and coordinate the printing of any required printed materials. 

Additional responsibilities include helping to create individual orientation packets for incoming students, prepping for events such as department or school meetings, and handling referrals to other offices. The ideal candidate must be able to work individually and as part of a team. They must display discipline, honesty, and integrity and be able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:     

  • Bachelor's degree with at least one year of experience
  • Exceptional customer service, writing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Successful work experience in an educational environment

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
