As an admission assistant, you will answer telephone calls for the entire university and direct callers to the appropriate staff at all university locations. You will greet all guests and visitors and connect them with the appropriate staff. You will maintain up-to-date institutional and departmental knowledge to assess and respond to general inquiries about SCAD. Among other duties, you will manage the admission email account with rapid response times, forward emails to the appropriate staff members within 24 hours of receipt, and maintain a low email volume. Daily responsibilities include assisting with mailing all outgoing acceptance notifications, scholarship letters, and deposit-paid packets. Additionally, you will collaborate with admission leaders to manage inventory and order supplies for the above-mentioned mail.

In this position, you will assist across functional teams to review and sort incoming mail for all locations. You will then redirect mail to the appropriate department and staff. Similarly, you will process return mail from the distribution center and report incorrect address information in the CRM database for recordkeeping. Among other duties, you will index all acceptance and scholarship letters generated by the mail and coding team, provide administrative support for special initiatives, and track incoming phone data, outgoing mailings, indexed mail, returned mail, and trends on an ongoing basis. You will also participate in scheduled activities for SCAD Days, special events, and evening and weekend work as requested.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication and customer service skills. They can provide administrative support through superior computer and organizational skills.

Minimum qualifications: 
• High school diploma or a GED

Preferred qualifications:
• Associate’s degree

Travel required:
• Less than 10%

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
