As an admission representative, you will identify and recruit high-quality students across all SCAD locations and market segments. Under the guidance of the director of admission, you will assist with on-ground initiatives by hosting pre-tour presentations and daily tours, leading meetings with prospective students, and providing portfolio counseling. For tours, you will track attendance through check-in policies and procedures. You will counsel prospective students who visit the university to encourage applications and enrollment, helping to meet SCAD’s admission goals. Among other duties, you will build strong relationships with teachers, counselors, students, parents, and alumni to create networking opportunities that benefit the university through prospect outreach and LiveAgent coverage. Additionally, you will provide individualized attention to all SCAD stakeholders.

In this role, you will promptly follow up with prospective students via phone calls, LiveAgent chats, emails, and texts to provide information about their interests and on-ground visits while also answering all inquiries. You will stay informed on university policies, events, accolades, and programs of study by monitoring the SCAD catalog, website, social media, newsletters, videos, and pre-tour presentations. You will also develop strong partnerships with admission advisers to involve them in recruitment activities. Among other duties, you will regularly provide feedback and ideas to admission leadership. Responsibilities include attending all SCAD DAYS, supporting pre-college initiatives, and taking part in special events, including evening and weekend work, as needed.

Occasional travel to represent the university to prospective students and build professional and institutional relationships is required. Travel includes school-specific events, information sessions, and other recruitment activities. This position’s work week is Tuesday–Saturday.

The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication skills. They also possess advanced customer relations and large-audience presentation skills.

Minimum qualifications: 
• Bachelor’s degree
• Able to work Tuesday–Saturday
• Able to participate in evening and weekend work as needed
• Able to travel and pass a motor vehicle report

Preferred qualifications:
• Admission and tour experience
• Marketing, public speaking, and SCAD experience

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
• Valid driver's license

Travel required:
• Less than 10%

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
