As an admission representative, you will report to the associate director of on-ground events and visitation. You will identify the highest quality students to recruit for all SCAD locations and market segments and lead pre-tour presentations and daily tours. You will track tour attendance via check-in policies and procedures. You will be responsible for meeting with prospective students to provide portfolio counseling and encourage application submission and enrollment. You will also build a network of teachers, counselors, students, parents, and alumni for prospect outreach, communicating through various methods to discuss SCAD visits and educational interests, and answer questions.

In this position, you will cover LiveAgent shifts and provide individualized attention to SCAD stakeholders. You will help train admission staff and maintain the relevancy of presentations by staying updated on university policies, programs, and news. You will attend all SCAD Days, support pre-college initiatives, and participate in special events as a representative of the university's recruitment efforts. You may perform other duties as assigned to ensure the department's success and to carry out the overall SCAD mission.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate impeccable communication, customer relations, and presentation skills. To succeed in this role, the candidate must develop strong partnerships with admission advisers, involve them in recruitment activities, and provide feedback to leadership regularly. They must also be able to participate in evening or weekend work and travel as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:      

  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:      

  • Experience with SCAD

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:  

  • Valid driver’s license 

Travel Required:  

  • 10–20%   

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
