Posting Text: SCAD seeks an Application Administrator to provide IT applications support as required by different university departments.
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related discipline is required. • Candidates must be proficient with Oracle, MS SQL Server, Structured Query Language (SQL), and relational database theory. • Qualified candidates will have excellent oral and written communication skills, be able to develop positive, collaborative relationships with users, have excellent time management skills, be able to work on multiple projects concurrently, and be self-motivated. • Candidates must have excellent analytical skills and enjoy working with users. • Three to five years’ experience in a similar position
Preferred Qualifications: A master’s degree is preferred. Highly desirable is experience with any of the following: Solaris, SCT Banner or other enterprise software packages (PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.), Java, C/C++, and ColdFusion.
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
