Work within a dynamic team environment as part of the university design group characterized by award-winning projects of many types, including: education, office, student housing, dining, hospitality, exhibition and event design, and many other project types supporting the diverse activities of SCAD, a world-renowned university for art and design education. The ideal candidate has experience in all phases of the design process, including: conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration. In addition to a high level of technical skill and applicable experience, candidate should also be willing to do whatever it takes to make each project a success for SCAD. Candidate should be proactive, team oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with a focus on creating life-changing experiences for SCAD students.

Position Summary: SCAD seeks an ambitious, imaginative architectural designer to join the university’s design group, a team marked by its award-winning projects in education, office, student housing, dining, hospitality, exhibition and event design, and more.

Minimum Qualifications: • M.Arch or registered arch preferred or Master’s degree in architecture
• Minimum of 5-8 years of related professional experience
• Ability to travel, domestically and internationally
• Proficiency with 2-D and 3-D software is essential, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master of Architecture or Registered Architect preferred
• Minimum of 5-8 years of related professional experience
• Ability to travel, domestically and internationally
• Proficiency with 2-D and 3-D software is essential, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Certificates, licenses and registrations: Registered Architect or NCIDQ, Valid Driver's License, Passport

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
