12 Month Hourly Staff FT

Based at the university’s 180-acre Ronald C. Waranch Equestrian Center, you will supervise a team of grooms and stall cleaners and manage the daily care of horses (e.g., grooming, feeding, health checks). You will also handle general farm duties and maintain the overall appearance of the center’s barns, landscape, and offices, among other duties. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in equine science or related discipline 

  • Demonstrated experience and advanced knowledge of equine care 


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience driving a horse trailer 

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish 

Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Valid driver’s license 

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
