As an assistant equestrian coach, you will assist with organizing travel for team events, all aspects of team tryouts, student lesson schedules, community events, ANRC, Tournament of Champions, SCAD IHSA horse show, and inventory of team clothing. You will help with required paperwork for IHSA and SCAD athletics, schedule workouts, and coordinate events and show results. You will aid the head coach with schooling and training team and client horses, including rehabilitation, and assist with fundraising. As needed, you will help with private lessons for SCAD students and clients and teach in place of the head coach. Among other duties, you will also conduct equestrian tours for SCAD visitors.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Ten years of riding experience (high school and college competition preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with athletes

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
