9 Month Hourly PT
SCAD seeks an experienced assistant women’s tennis coach for its team in historic Savannah, Ga. In this part-time role, you will support the head tennis coach in all aspects of the women’s tennis program.
As an assistant tennis coach, you will support the recruitment, scouting, promotions and statistics, coaching, practices, match preparation, fundraising, academic support, and daily office work for the women’s tennis team. Along with the head coach, you will coordinate, develop, and improve players’ skill, team strategy, and tennis IQ. You will also travel with the team to all events and activities; provide performance analyses pre-match, in-match, and post-match; and encourage academic excellence among all athletes.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of two years of varsity collegiate tennis experience; Highly competitive coaching experience; Strong interpersonal skills in working with athletes; Bachelor's degree preferred*Strong preference - recruitment experience.
Certificates, licenses and registrations: Valid Driver's License
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
