As an assistant director of admission at SCAD, you will represent the university to prospective students within an assigned territory. Your focus will be on high-strategic-fit public and private high schools and boarding schools within that region. You will manage a caseload of potential applicants and foster ongoing professional and institutional relationships through school-specific events, information sessions, and other recruitment activities. You will also follow up with students to discuss their interests, address questions, and share information about opportunities at SCAD. Additionally, you will participate in LivePerson and online chat sessions to reach students at various points throughout the admission cycle and regularly attend special events to engage with students and parents.

In this position, and using proven storytelling techniques, you will deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences that showcase SCAD’s programs, buildings, and opportunities. You will regularly communicate with applicants in your region to provide them with individualized admission counseling and document contact in their file. You will be responsible for the review and evaluation of applications to ensure completeness, aiding prospective students and their families throughout the entire process. You will also maintain accurate records of recruitment activities within your territory — including managing all relevant databases and systems and promptly entering all events.

The successful candidate for this role demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage diverse audiences. The candidate must also be able to work well independently, prioritize tasks, and have a passion for the arts and design education. They must also be genuinely enthusiastic about promoting SCAD.
