As the assistant director of enrollment, you will build relationships with applicants, parents, and educators across various communication channels as they navigate the admission process. You will receive and meticulously process all required documents for admission and scholarship evaluation. You will regularly follow up with students to ensure their applications are complete, gather any necessary information to support their applications, and provide them with key information they need to consider enrollment at SCAD. Among other duties, you will become an expert in educational systems and trends within your assigned territory. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other departments to strategize and execute events that contribute to SCAD's outreach and recruitment efforts, which may occasionally require travel.

In this role, you will operate management systems, including Salesforce and Banner, to record and track documents, contacts, and other pertinent information while ensuring strict adherence to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) guidelines. Data integrity is paramount. Responsibilities include serving as the primary financial aid contact for students, explaining the federal aid process to ensure they understand the cost of attendance. You will help them establish a financial plan, complete the FAFSA verification process, and track balances due on individual accounts.

In this position, you will remain knowledgeable about all university policies and procedures to effectively communicate accurate information about the college, including majors, programs of study, SCAD locations, scholarships, housing, meal plans, class registration, and more. You will also maintain a close working relationship with other offices to ensure a smooth and successful enrollment process for students.

The ideal candidate exhibits strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills. They also demonstrate keen attention to detail and the ability to think strategically while achieving goals. The candidate also possesses web knowledge.

Minimum qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to travel to assigned areas as needed

Preferred qualifications:   

  • Knowledge of Banner and Salesforce 

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:

  • Valid driver’s license

Travel required:

  • 10–20%

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
