As a full-time associate director, you will work with the director of financial aid to ensure Title IV compliance, assist the director with the development of policies and procedures for awarding aid, conduct internal audits, and to compile quarterly and annual reports. You will provide effective supervision for a team of financial aid specialists, a financial aid analyst, and a scholarship specialist, and monitor the productivity and accuracy of financial aid packaging. You will monitor award and funding levels for limited programs (e.g., SEOG, FWS, SCAD Student Grant, etc.), exception reports, third-party scholarship processes to ensure funds are received, and scholarships awarded by the office of admission. You will also monitor the institutional advance selection and award process.
Among other duties, you will implement the professional judge process as guided by Title IV regulations and policy; ensure the accurate award of employee tuition benefits, as well as students’ athletic scholarships; and will serve on the student financial services management team. You will also participate in special events and in evening and weekend work as needed.
The successful candidate demonstrates advanced knowledge of borrow-based awarding, direct lending expectations, and state and federal compliance regulations. The candidate should also be comfortable working independently and should be able to efficiently and effectively work using technology as this is a remote position.
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
