As an associate director of admission, you will liaise with the enrollment team and assigned schools to develop and implement a program-specific recruitment plan. The plan includes attendance goals for events at all SCAD locations, school-specific trade shows, program-specific graduate fairs, online chats, and presentations. You will routinely meet with departmental chairs and faculty to maintain your expertise on assigned programs, including major-related internship opportunities and accolades, new classes, company visits, events, and more. Among other duties, you will coordinate the SCAD Challenge scholarship competition. Responsibilities include researching and writing regulations and guidelines; developing a promotional plan that uses social media, print, and web marketing; mapping out entry logistics and EM tracking; securing sponsors, prizes, and judges; and overseeing the adjudication and final hosting of top placers during the event. Additionally, you will manage the SCAD Challenge Facebook page.

In this role, you will train and lead routine professional development opportunities for enrollment staff. In doing so, you will post relevant news, photos, and links to the SCAD news blog, present at meetings, and provide guidance. To meet admission goals, you will meet with prospective students who visit SCAD to encourage them to complete applications and enroll. You will maintain daily contact with those students via phone, email, and online chats. Responsibilities include oversight of contact information for students, parents, teachers, and counselors in the enrollment database, portfolio counseling, and presentations on SCAD programs and initiatives.

In this role, you will lead SCAD tours, visitor presentations, and workshops; track attendance, student types, and yields; and regularly report data. Among other duties, you will follow up with students who have submitted miscellaneous admission documents and occasionally participate in call-a-thons. You will travel to Atlanta for SCAD Days, school-specific programs, information sessions, and other recruitment events as needed. Similarly, you will also assist with the organization and completion of other department and university-wide special events. 

Minimum qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree
• Participation in occasional evening and weekend work

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree
• Public speaking experience
• At least two years of leadership experience
• Background in art or design

Travel required:

• 10–20%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
