As an associate director of campus visitation, you will serve as the liaison between enrollment and various SCAD programs, including the development and implementation of a program-specific recruitment plan. You will attend events at all SCAD locations, school program-specific trade shows, program-specific graduate fairs, online chats, and presentations.

To support the admission team, you’ll:

• Routinely meet with departmental chairs and faculty to gain a thorough understanding of enrollment in assigned programs
• Stay current on program-related internship opportunities, accolades, classes, company visits, events, and more
• Plan, coordinate, and implement a scholarship competition (e.g., research and write regulations and guidelines; create a promotional plan that includes social media, print, and web marketing; map out entry logistics and EM tracking; secure sponsors, prizes, and judges; and oversee adjudication and hosting of the top)
• Manage the challenge Facebook page
• Train and implement professional development programs for enrollment staff on current news, pictures, and links on the SCAD news blog; present at staff meetings; and provide ongoing program-specific guidance

As an associate director, you’ll:

• Meet with and counsel visiting prospective students to encourage application and enrollment
• Maintain daily contact with prospective students via phone calls, emails, and LivePerson; participate in call-a-thons as needed; and enter and maintain information for students, parents, teachers, and counselors in the enrollment management database
• Provide daily portfolio counseling for prospective and applied students
• Offer portfolio or audition counseling and presentations during SCAD Days, Preview Days, summer programs, etc.
• Provide tours, presentations, and workshops to visitors; track attendance, student type, and yield; and report data monthly and annually

As part of the admission department, you’ll:

• Follow up with students who have submitted miscellaneous admission documents and encourage them to apply
• Travel to Atlanta for SCAD Days, program-specific events, information sessions, or other recruitment events
• Organize, plan, and implement other departmental and university-wide special events (e.g., SCAD Days, Educator Forums, and summer programs)
• Leverage hands-on event experience to elevate our brand presence and enhance the SCAD visitation experience

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least three years of events-related experience
• Able to work evenings and weekends

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree
• Background in art or design
• Public speaking experience
• At least three years of experience in event planning and management
• At least two years of leadership experience

Travel required:   

• 10–20% 

 Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
