SCAD Savannah seeks an experienced associate director for SCAD Art Sales, the university’s full-service art consultancy.

In this full-time role, you will work with high-end clients, corporations, hoteliers, stadiums, interior designers, film and TV producers, and more for fine art purchases from SCAD students, alumni, and faculty. Among other duties, you will also be responsible for researching and prospecting new clients and opportunities.

The successful candidate has an excellent business sense and is able to find creative solutions to every challenge. A broad knowledge of SCAD, its artists, and its exhibitions is vital, as is the ability to speak confidently and intelligently about art. The candidate should have stellar time management and organizational skills, and is able to easily stay on top of scheduling, projects, tight deadlines, and team member assignments. The ability to generate informative financial reports and attractive client proposals is imperative, and the candidate must be willing and able to travel three out of four weeks each month.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in art history, museum studies, or art-related discipline (master’s preferred)
  • Minimum of two years of work experience in a museum or gallery setting
  • Minimum of five years of experience in sales
  • Knowledgeable about SCAD, its artists, and its exhibition

Certificates, licenses and registrations: Valid driver's license

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
