As the SCADfit fitness instructor, you will be responsible for managing the operation of the gym after hours and on weekends and assisting the director in quarterly meetings. In the event of an emergency, you are responsible for calling 911 and SCAD security. Additionally, you will staff the front desk and educate members on the SCADfit rules and regulations.  

Minimum Qualifications:  

• Ability to multitask
• Good at working with others and must be responsible and reliable

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or at least two years’ experience in the fitness industry
• Six months of operations experience in a fitness center environment

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:

• Personal training certification from NSCA, NASM, ISSA, ACE, or another nationally accredited organization

Travel required:

• Less than 10%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
