As a business reporting analyst, you will work in accordance with the SCAD software development cycle for Salesforce, Banner, Blackboard Learn, in-house, and other third-party business needs. You will develop high quality SQL solutions for accurate and efficient reports, set up and maintain recurring report schedules for several departments, and respond to various enhancement and ad hoc report requests. Among other duties, you will troubleshoot report production issues in a timely manner, support the operational data store and ensure all data refreshes are up to date and accurate, and actively participate in the review of business and system requirements.

 

The successful candidate is a proactive problem solver with exceptional analytical skills and a keen eye for detail. A desire and willingness to stay current on relevant technology and industry knowledge is essential, and the candidate should work well as both an independent contributor and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must – including the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical entities.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in computer science or information systems
  • Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience with IBM Cognos Analytics or similar reporting tool, Banner, and Microsoft Excel
  • Proven development skill in SQL, report writing, operation data store, data warehouses, and relational databases

 

Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Valid driver's license

 

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
