SCAD Savannah seeks an experienced, full-time coordinator of deaf services to evaluate, determine, and provide appropriate accommodations for students who are hearing impaired.

In this position, you will meet individually with hearing-impaired students to discuss and evaluate their communication needs, coordinate interpreting schedules, and provide services to other students with disabilities as assigned. You will recruit, train, and supervise staff and part-time interpreters, manage and track all appointments in the department’s software, and offer in-service training and follow-up for faculty and staff utilizing interpreters.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
