SCAD seeks an experienced creative director to lead its executive media team full time in historic Savannah, Ga.
In this role, your primary responsibility will be the development, creative direction, and implementation of social media content, visual presentations, and video and photography initiatives to promote the president of SCAD, as well as the unique events, environments, lifestyle, and opportunities offered at the university. Among other duties, you will also continually research and provide recommendations on how to keep SCAD's digital-first creative initiatives, visual content, and social and event promotion at the level and quality expected from a leader in the art and design community.
The successful candidate is a spectacular written and verbal communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills and a high degree of professionalism in appearance, demeanor, and communication. The candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, as well as the candor and attention to confidentiality necessary for interviewing and networking with high-profile visiting artists, students, staff, and faculty members. Successful leadership experience is essential, as is the ability to motivate others and accurately convey the vision and values of SCAD to the greater university community.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
• Relevant professional experience with digital brand and social media strategy, art direction, and graphic design
• Demonstrated experience with illustration, graphic design, and/or motion media design
• Ability to travel with short notice, valid driver's license
Certificates, licenses and registrations: Valid driver's license
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
