As a department administrative assistant for immersive reality (AR/VR) and themed entertainment design (THED), you will support student needs, promptly responding to their questions. You will support departmental leadership and the office of academic services with department and school initiatives and ongoing collaborative projects. You will support classroom, extended learning opportunities (ELOs), and workshop scheduling and assist with building preparation for SCAD Day, acting as the main point of contact for the physical resources department. In this role, you will manage supply orders and equipment maintenance, collaborate with housekeeping and physical resources to ensure buildings are student ready, and support the continuous display of outstanding student work in department buildings. Likewise, you will coordinate with the communications team to assist with the end-of-quarter photo documentation for outstanding student work. You will oversee meetings, prepare agendas, reserve spaces, and record and transcribe meeting minutes. You will coordinate quarterly report submissions from faculty, create drafts for leadership approval, and remind faculty about end-of-quarter deadlines— including the submission of syllabi, faculty comments, and final grades.
