As a learning experience designer, you will collaborate with faculty, academic leaders, and subject-matter experts to create dynamic learning experiences for the virtual and on-ground students. You will produce and deploy transformative student and faculty-facing technological resources and interactive media for various digital platforms. You will provide online and on-site support for SCAD faculty and students and identify academic content that exemplifies engaged teaching and learning styles. Additionally, you will complete outreach to students, faculty, and staff about available technology and academic engagement learning opportunities.

In this role, you will support faculty professional development and student orientation programs with live or recorded information sessions, workshops, and trainings; technical support; and one-on-one coaching. You will develop content for educational technology initiatives, working with faculty to ensure course readiness and relevancy. You will review, test, and implement system updates and enhancements, proactively develop measures to ensure uninterrupted resource engagement, and propose improvements to existing educational technologies to amplify digital learning experiences.

The successful candidate will effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences. The candidate will display excellent project management, problem-solving, and multitasking skills. They will also be able to work effectively independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications:      

  • Master’s degree in technology or education-related disciplines OR comprehensive work experience in teaching, educational technology, or a related field

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
