12 Month Hourly Staff FT
The Editor/Encoder will be integral in the post production of university events, promotional and branded content. Responsible for editing, encoding and compression of video material produced by the Visual Media department. Will conceptualize ideas and assemble media assets into high-quality dynamic content.
Position Summary: SCAD Savannah seeks an editor/encoder, a position integral to the post-production of university events and promotional and branded content.
Minimum Qualifications: Successful candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant post-production experience. Expert in Avid Media Composer. Experience with audio mixing software is strongly preferred. Should be able to manage multiple projects at various stages of production simultaneously. Must be available to work outside office hours, weekends and holidays. Applicant should possess a strong working knowledge of the latest editing styles, techniques and equipment; continually research, seek out inspiration and provide recommendations on how to keep SCAD’s video content innovative and creative.
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
