As an employee performance and success manager, you will be part of a collaborative team, manage positive professional relationships to guide decision-making and ensure a thorough understanding of the university's overall goals and mission. You will be responsible for supporting the productivity of a 250-member employee group through an open-door policy to encourage the discussion of issues and concerns with employees and managers, providing effective recommendations for resolution. You will respond to human resources (HR) policy and procedure inquiries, working with the Title IX office to investigate concerns and ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws. If needed, you will implement action steps, inform supervisors of significant issues, or work with legal counsel to resolve employment matters.

In this position, you will support a talent partner in creating positive recruitment experiences by coordinating on-site interview logistics, which include itinerary creation, room reservations, and campus tours. You will escort candidates around SCAD facilities, tailoring guest experiences to areas that match their disciplines, showcase the position's benefits and perks, and participate in interviews to advise management on the potential fit of candidates as requested. You will attend lunches and guest teaching demonstrations with candidates as required and provide support during new hire orientations.

You will assist supervisors and the compensation department in creating accurate job descriptions and overseeing the position management process for new and replacement positions or personnel changes. You will also assist with salary administration to ensure compliance and equity within your assigned departments, requesting compensation analysis studies if needed. You will help with annual increases, gather necessary executive approval information, and communicate final raises to managers. You will also work with the benefits office on accommodation requests, referring to the employee assistance program (EAP).

In this role, you will manage the employee separation process, including documentation and exit interviews to determine reasons for separation and work to instill changes in the work environment based on received feedback. You will review all performance evaluations to ensure accurate information and state and federal regulations compliance. You will also review rating distributions to provide managers and area leader’s feedback. You will also advise managers handling employee leaves of absence to ensure they comply with university and federal policies.

As an employee performance and success manager, you will be partially responsible for creating and implementing development programs and succession planning activities within your assigned departments. You will also participate in special projects and other university events, using an updated data chart to stay organized. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.

Minimum Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least three years of human resources or related experience

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
