As an enterprise application developer, you will design and develop both new and existing applications that meet business specifications, as well as related app components. You will maintain web applications through functional testing, support, troubleshooting, and code modifications; assist with training on the use of these applications, and ensure documentations and trainings are accurate before distribution to personnel and other users. Among other duties, you will also stay up to date on industry knowledge and technology and assist other app developers with data analysis to better understand SCAD business needs.



The successful candidate is analytical, with exceptional conceptual, technical, and problem-solving skills. Experience with application and database integrations is essential, as is the ability to thrive as both an individual contributor and as part of a team. The candidate should have spectacular interpersonal communication abilities (written and verbal), as well as strong organizational, planning, and documentation skills. The ability to work well on cross-functional projects and interact with stakeholders at all levels is also vital.

Minimum Qualifications: B.S. degree in computer science or information systems and two years relevant experience required.

Candidates must have experience with Java, Servlets/JSP, SQL, LDAP/ActiveDirectory, HTML and JavaScript, and source code control, preferably Git; must also have experience with Oracle RDBMS and PL/SQL, and/or with Salesforce and Apex; have strong analytic, technical and interpersonal skills; experience working with application and database integrations, and have excellent organizational, planning and documentation skills.

Candidates should have 2 to 4 years of relevant experience with technical implementation, day-to-day operations, and long term maintenance of web applications.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Linux, Fusion Middleware, Apache Tomcat, Web Services, Spring, Groovy/Grails, Hudson/Jenkins is desired. Experience with Pentaho DI, Mobile Development in HTML, React Native, Objective C/Swift or Android is a plus.

Candidates should possess the ability to serve as a team member on cross-functional projects and interact at all levels, have strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities and have the ability to solve problems independently or with a team.

Previous experience in higher education related job with Banner, Blackboard, uPortal is a plus.

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
