12 Month Hourly Staff FT
The employee will be responsible for checking in and out equipment at the Digital Media Center, ensuring all items are properly inspected and in working order.
Position Summary: The employee will be responsible for checking in and out equipment at the Digital Media Center, ensuring all items are properly inspected and in working order.Additionally, equipment checkout Staff member will answer questions from students, end users, act as team leaders for work-study students and enter reservations into the online checkout system. They will assist in maintaining the functionality of the available checkout center equipment. Perform light maintenance and repairs on complex studio and rental equipment. They will also ensure student sets are operating safely and students have setup equipment and technical systems properly.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or commensurate cinematography experienceExperience with technical and safety guidelines required for film shootsGeneral knowledge of the methods, materials, and tools used in the repair and maintenance of the common types of the specialized equipment in cinematographyExemplary customer serviceMust possess excellent communication, organization, scheduling, and troubleshooting skillsMust possess technology skills including proficiency in computers, peripheral equipment, educational technologies, and both Windows and MacOS platformsAbility to work flexible hours
Certificates, licenses and registrations: Valid Driver's License
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
