As an executive director, you will oversee all mental health counseling, disability resources, and deaf services for all SCAD locations, including SCADnow online. You will provide supervision to all departmental staff, including professional development and evaluation, and will recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of interns. You will coordinate and participate in on-call rotations for student counseling emergencies, handle a personal and clinical caseload 5-8 hours per week, and provide departmental outreach activities. In this role, you will manage the college transition program for students with disabilities, the departmental budget and reports, and a database of community referral contacts, development, and outreach. Among other duties, you will also monitor staff and student satisfaction programs and requests from the SCAD community for programs, workshops, orientation programs, and more.
Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Must be licensed to perform mental health counseling, social work, or psychotherapy independently and eligible to supervise counseling, mental health, and psychotherapy staff.
Acceptable licenses may include Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D. or PsyD), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, LCMHC, LMHC), and/or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
