SCAD Atlanta seeks a graduate success adviser to serve as the primary contact for graduate students to guide and assist them in completing their SCAD degree program.In this role, you will help students by providing a thorough understanding of curriculum, graduate policies, and requirements, as well as answering financial aid and billing questions, planning classes, and connecting students with SCAD resources. You will help retain graduate students through proactive outreach and by delivering services and programming tailored to the university’s mission and value statements. Among other duties, you will also prepare for and participate in quarterly orientation, review proposed curriculum and thesis changes, and assist with proofing for catalogs.The successful candidate should work well in one-on-one and group environments. The candidate should possess exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, including written, verbal, and public speaking skills. Strong organizational skills and computer proficiency is essential.
Minimum Qualifications: · Master’s degree in a related discipline· Experience in advising, financial aid, or counseling in higher education preferred
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
