SCAD Savannah seeks an experienced head coach to manage the daily operations of the men's lacrosse team.

In this full-time role, you will coach and instruct student-athletes on the strategies and techniques necessary to prepare for athletic competition. You will also engage in relationship building within the SCAD community to establish a positive opinion of SCAD athletics and lacrosse in particular.

The successful candidate is an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and demonstrates the ability to cultivate effective working relationships in a team-oriented environment. A commitment to discipline, honesty, and integrity is essential, as are strong organizational and time-management skills. The candidate should also have experience managing budgets and fundraising in a college environment.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline

· One to three years of intercollegiate lacrosse coaching experience

· Knowledge of NAIA guidelines, federal regulations, and other policies governing intercollegiate athletics

· Successful work experience in an academic environment preferred

REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree in a related field.
Proven leadership ability and excellent communication skills.
Working knowledge/understanding of NAIA guidelines, federal regulations, and other policies governing intercollegiate athletics.
Proven ability to establish and cultivate effective working relationships in a team-oriented environment.

1-3 years of intercollegiate experience as a coach for the sport.
Experience in fund-raising in a college environment
Experience managing budgets
Demonstrated commitment to student development

Preferred Qualifications: Successful work experience in an academic environment preferred

Certificates, licenses and registrations: Membership with any National Lacrosse Coaches Association

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
