12 Month Hourly Staff FT


The High Rise Maintenance Technician will have the training in the specific high rise systems used on the new high rise residence hall and perform the maintenance on these systems. The High Rise Maintenance Technician does general maintenance, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting, moving, and event setups. On-call hours are required and the person is considered essential personnel in responding to emergency situations.

Position Summary: SCAD seeks an experienced high-rise maintenance technician to join its team full time in Atlanta.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Three to five years of relevant experience and/or training
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe practices
Valid forklift and driver’s licenses
Ability to lift up to 90 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience managing high rise systems

Certificates, licenses and registrations: Valid driver's license

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
