Join SCAD as an HVAC technician II and help maintain the university's HVAC systems in historic buildings across Savannah. In this position, you will perform maintenance on 1- to 40-ton commercial and residential systems, such as filter and drain replacement, piping, wiring, and troubleshooting, and replacing of fan motors, blower motors, heaters, contractors, reversing valves, compressors, and TXVs.
The ideal candidate should have a clear understanding of components and control systems such as Siemens, Carrier, and Trane. Commercial refrigeration and ice machine knowledge is preferred. The candidate must have a valid refrigerant card to comply with the Clean Air Act.
Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
