SCAD seeks an experienced industry and alumni engagement (IAE) leader to develop and strengthen industry relationships and increase opportunities for alumni engagement in the Southwest region.In this full-time position, you will join other career and alumni success (CAS) teams to directly support the SCAD mission to prepare remarkable students and alumni for their professional careers, as well as contribute to the university’s 99% employment rate for graduates. As an IAE leader, you will identify and reach out to prospective external partners across all SCAD industries; plan, host, and evaluate professional networking events; and provide career coaching for both students and alumni. You will coordinate on-site and virtual recruiting visits, post new opportunities to the SCAD Job Portal, participate in recruitment events such as Out to Launch and Career Fair, and represent SCAD and CAS at off-site programs, admission events, and alumni events across your assigned region. Among other responsibilities, you will also manage the alumni population across your region through individual and group meetings; maintain a detailed database of business meetings, student/alumni contact, industry events, and alumni activities in Salesforce; and present opportunities for SCAD involvement in sponsored projects, SCAD FASHION SHOW, the Savannah Film Festival, deFINE ART, and more.The successful candidate has a comprehensive understanding of both the art and design job market and student career development. Using superb communication, interpersonal, and leadership capabilities, the candidate should be able to deliver dazzling presentations and inspire a dynamic work environment. Professionalism is vital in both attire and conduct, and a student-centered focus is a must. The candidate should have strong organization, event-planning, and project-management skills, plus a commitment to helping students and alumni secure their creative careers. A demonstrated ability to meet deadlines as both an individual and team contributor, as well as proficiency with information management systems and other web-based technology, is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree.
Certificates, licenses and registrations: Valid driver's license.
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
