SCAD seeks an industry relations coordinator to join its office for career and alumni success in historic Savannah, Ga.

In this full-time role, you will coordinate all on-site and virtual employer recruitment and oversee the online SCAD Job Portal. You will create and communicate opportunities for students and alumni to network and interview with industry leaders, represent SCAD to companies across diverse industries, and ensure that students, alumni, career advisers, and faculty are informed of employer recruiter needs. Among other duties, you will also track and manage student interview applications to ensure high response from quality applicants, share best practices, and coordinate/manage interview schedules on behalf of employers.

The successful candidate is a spectacular communicator with equally exceptional interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and self-directed, the candidate thrives in fast-paced environments and manages multiple projects under tight deadlines with ease. Excellent collaboration plus organizational and project-management skills are a must, as is a strong understanding of creative industries. The ability to clearly articulate how SCAD’s disciplines are relevant to company hiring needs is essential, as is professionalism in attire and conduct. The demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
  • Professional experience in industry or employer relations, business development, career services, or event/project management
  • Ability to work outside office hours, including nights and weekends, as necessary
  • Demonstrated proficiency with information-management systems and other web-based technology

Certificates, licenses and registrations: Valid Driver's License.

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
