As an international student program coordinator, you will be a Designated School Official (DSO) responsible for the creation of all initial I-20s. This position requires daily communication with the international admission team to receive status updates and other necessary information. You will organize all pre-arrival sessions for incoming students, create and disseminate SCADbound emails, answer arrival questions, play a role in planning orientation sessions, and manage check-in forms.

In this role, you will update marketing materials for the university's International Student Services Office (ISSO), host drop-in arrival Q&A sessions, organize airport shuttle requests, complete pre-F1 forms, and verify all check-in materials uploaded during the new F-1 check-in process. You will also track new students who haven’t checked-in at the mandatory international student orientation. Among other duties, you will also serve as the primary point of contact for Fulbright and Davis UWC Scholar students, develop armchair recruitment strategies to attract students to our ESL program, coordinating and organizing winter break activities, and supporting all other ISSO advisers, as needed, during the ISSO CAPP program and with other student requests.

Minimum qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least one year as a Designated School Official (DSO) or comparable international education knowledge
  • Working knowledge of F-1 student visa regulations and DHS branches, such as SEVP, U.S. consular services, and CBP
  • Experience designing and implementing events and workshops

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Bilingual or polylingual
  • Experience with Banner, Terra Dotta, Salesforce, and ApplicationXtender

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:

  • U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency, as mandated by federal regulations
  • Valid driver’s license preferred

Travel required:

  • 10–20%

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
