As a full-time systems coordinator and advisor for the SCAD International Student Services Office (ISSO) and as a designated school officer (DSO), you will manage extensions of stay, changes in non-immigrant status applications, travel abroad and re-entry compliance, and all other F-1-related applications, procedures, and regulations.

In the Terra Dotta software (TDS), you will maintain a channel for all international students to have access to departmental directories and more; create queries, reports, and systems for both students and staff to use; train new staff on the TDS project; and maintain the TDS system for both Savannah and Atlanta. You will maintain ticketing and appointments for student data tracking, be responsible for all aspects of SEVIS reporting requirements and audits, and serve as a liaison with relevant SCAD departments on hosting and infrastructure solutions related to TDS. Among other duties, you will also manage the ISSO inbox, phone lines, and support ISSO social media.

The successful candidate is well-versed in F-1 regulations and demonstrates an enthusiasm and effectiveness when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is relevant experience in international student services. The candidate should be exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, able to meet both internal and external deadlines with accuracy and precision.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Professional experience in international student services
  • Advanced knowledge of F-1 regulations


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • Experience chaperoning student trips


Certificates, licenses, and registrations:

  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident (LPR) in order to be listed in the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Student and Exchange Program (SEVP) database as a Designated School Official (DSO)


Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
