As a library associate, you will assist with the lending and receiving of materials, course reserve coordination, and research assistance. You will also help process, organize, and maintain SCAD Libraries’ diverse collections to ensure a smooth operation and consistent availability of library services. Among other duties, you will also contribute to expectations for a seven-day-a-week library schedule, including extended night hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
  • Minimum of two years of directly related experience in a library environment
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, web tools, and library systems software (ILS)
  • Undergraduate degree in a discipline taught by SCAD

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
