The support maintenance technician will focus on event setups, break downs, furniture moves, and routine maintenance tasks like light bulbs. The support crew member would also be trained up to handle bigger maintenance tasks as job flexibility is key in maintaining Atlanta.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Perform basic support duties including (but not limited to): lifting, moving, and assembly of furniture and fixtures. - (Essential)
  • Follow instructions, read work orders, layouts, and event setups. - (Essential)
  • Check and record inventories of furniture, light bulb and other items as needed. Replace light bulbs and handle routine maintenance tasks. - (Essential)
  • Advise supervisor when emergencies exist or assistance is needed from other crafts. Available on call to handle emergency situations where needed. - (Essential)
  • Follow all SCAD policies and procedures. Maintain a professional appearance at all times. Adhere to all OSHA regulations and safe practices. - (Essential)
  • Other duties as assigned. - (Essential)

 

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and or training.
Able to lift up to 90 lbs.
A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle report run by SCAD and/or SCAD's insurance/comply with SCAD driving policy.
Must be able to pass DOT medical exam.

Preferred Qualifications: Able to lift up to 75 lbs
Previous experience with logsitics

Certificates, licenses and registrations: Valid Driver's License and acceptance as a SCAD authorized driver

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
